Verse Explanation
Deborah sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and gave him God's command to gather troops from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun. God had already planned to deliver Israel, but He chose to work through human leaders who were willing to obey. Deborah reminded Barak that victory would come because God was leading the battle.
History
Naphtali and Zebulun were northern tribes located near the area controlled by Jabin and Sisera.
