Thinking you are the absolute center of the universe and acting like you never need help from anyone can get old real fast. Reading through verses about pride points out how acting stuck-up or thinking you are better than your friends usually backfires in a major way.
Arrogance has a sneaky habit of blinding us to our own flaws while making us look down on everyone else around us. Scripture warns that a big ego is basically a setup for a massive fall, reminding us that nobody likes a know-it-all who refuses to listen to advice.
Swallowing your ego and keeping a humble attitude opens the door to real friendship and respect. When you drop the tough act and admit you don't know everything, life gets way smoother and people actually want to hang out with you.
