Across the letters and lessons found in verses about my identity in Christ, who you are in Jesus is shown to be a gift from God instead of something you have to earn or build yourself. The Bible constantly tells followers to base their self-worth on being connected to Christ rather than trying to measure up through good grades, social status, or past mistakes.
Important ideas include being completely forgiven through what Jesus went through, becoming an official part of God's family, and being shaped into a brand-new person meant to do good things. Instead of carrying around heavy guilt, feeling insecure, or stressing over what other people think, scripture tells you to match your mindset with how God views you.
At the end of the day, knowing you are secure in Christ stops you from constantly hunting for praise or worrying about failure. Walking around every single day knowing you are chosen, forgiven, and loved by God gives you total confidence and the freedom to help others without feeling nervous.
