Verse Explanation
The Lord continued explaining the sin offering laws. A person who failed to testify after hearing a public request for witnesses became guilty because they withheld important information.
History
These instructions were given after the Tabernacle was established at Mount Sinai, during Israel's wilderness journey after the Exodus from Egypt. They formed part of the covenant laws governing worship and community responsibility.
