What do the four soils in the parable of the sower represent?

Jesus told a story about a farmer scattering seed. Some fell on the path and birds ate it. Some fell on rocky ground, sprang up fast and then withered because it had no root. Some fell among thorns that choked it. Some fell on good soil and produced a crop thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown. Jesus explained it Himself. The seed is God's word. The path is people who hear it, but Satan takes it away before it sinks in. The rocky ground is people who receive it with joy but quit when trouble comes. The thorns are people whose faith gets choked by worries, money and wanting other things. The good soil is people who hear, accept it and bear fruit. The story makes you ask what kind of soil you are, and it also encourages anyone sharing the gospel. Not every seed grows, but the good harvest is huge.
