The garden of Uzza was the burial place of two kings of Judah, Manasseh and his son Amon. Second Kings 21:18 says, "Manasseh rested with his ancestors and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And Amon his son succeeded him as king." Amon was also buried there after his servants killed him (21:26). Most earlier kings of Judah were buried in the City of David, but these two were buried in a garden, possibly because the royal tombs were full or because of their wickedness. The garden may have been named after Uzza, the owner, or after Uzziah, since "Uzza" can be a short form of his name. Its location is unknown, but it was probably near the palace in Jerusalem. Some scholars have suggested it was on the western hill or near the City of David.
