"Mount" here refers to the Mount of Olives in Zechariah 14:4, a famous prophecy about the day of the Lord: "On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south." The people of Jerusalem would flee through the new valley. The Mount of Olives is the ridge just east of the Old City, across the Kidron Valley. Christians connect the verse with Acts 1:11, where angels said Jesus would return the same way He left, from the Mount of Olives. Geologists note that a fault runs through the area, though the prophecy is usually read as a picture of God's coming.
