It's identified with the Arab village of Daburiyya, at the northwestern foot of Mount Tabor, which preserves the name. It sat on the road running along the edge of the Jezreel Valley, near where the valley meets the hills of Lower Galilee. Some people connect the name with Deborah, the judge who sent Barak to gather troops at Mount Tabor, but that link is uncertain. The Jewish historian Josephus mentions a village called Dabaritta in the same place. In the Crusader period, a tradition placed here the healing of the boy with an evil spirit, which Jesus did after coming down from the mountain of the Transfiguration, since Mount Tabor was believed to be that mountain.
