It's the same as Ibleam, which Manasseh failed to capture from the Canaanites (Joshua 17:11, Judges 1:27). The parallel list in Joshua 21:25 has Gath Rimmon instead, probably a copying variant. Ibleam is identified with Khirbet Bel'ameh, just south of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, on the road from the Jezreel Valley up into the hills of Samaria. King Ahaziah of Judah was fatally wounded "on the way up to Gur near Ibleam" as he fled from Jehu (2 Kings 9:27). According to the Greek text of 2 Kings 15:10, King Zechariah of Israel was assassinated at Ibleam. The site has an ancient rock-cut water tunnel leading down to a spring, similar to tunnels at Megiddo and Hazor.
